June 2020

This week I harvested a nice batch of collard greens.
I’m sure they will enjoy some slow cooked greens at the soup kitchen. I also harvested mint which is being used to make a lovely sun tea. There were a few carrots, radishes, and  turnips to add to their salads.
I still got about a gallon of mixed greens; butter lettuce, swiss chard, and kale.
While I was delivering to the church I met this lovely sister waiting for the lunch service. She suggested we take a photo together. I’m so glad to be donating to those who need it most.

I feel blessed to have connected with them this year especially.
The chef said the fresh produce has been a blessing. We are all blessed

❤

Stay safe and be kind to one another.
Kindly,
Cathy McElroy
